Kuang Tie Sustain Build Changes Clash Lane

In the latest Honor of Kings patch, testing followed by 12BSports VR46 shows that the Clash Lane has changed considerably. A new element called the Spiritling has affected early lane control, giving several weaker heroes a better opportunity to contest neutral resources early. Although the Spiritling is expected to be removed soon, its temporary presence has still brought a fresh twist to the Clash Lane environment.

Champion adjustments are also drawing attention in this version, and hands-on testing with 12BSports VR46 highlights Kuang Tie as one of the biggest beneficiaries. Previously, the healing from his first skill scaled with attack damage, but the updated mechanic now increases recovery according to bonus health. This gives high-HP builds stronger endurance in prolonged fights and has made the so-called Merit build increasingly attractive.

The Merit build pushes health stacking to the limit and uses recovery-boosting equipment such as Eye of the Phoenix to maximize healing. With more than 7,000 bonus HP, Kuang Tie’s first skill can recover around 70 to 140 health, while the empowered version doubles that amount. When his HP falls below half, the healing can be more than 30 percent higher than before. Once Eye of the Phoenix is active, the gap can rise to about 50 percent, allowing him to stay alive much longer during team fights.

The weakness is equally obvious: this setup does not provide the explosive damage of a traditional offensive Kuang Tie build. Instead of eliminating an opponent with a sudden burst, it relies on steady damage and durability to gradually wear enemies down. Kuang Tie therefore needs to fight at close range to get the best results. Sprint is commonly paired with the build, while the movement-speed steal from his third skill helps him chase targets and maintain pressure. It is designed to win the war of attrition rather than end fights in one blow.

Overall, extended battles are where the 12BSports VR46 testing suggests this Kuang Tie setup can shine most. Strong healing and stubborn survivability help him hold his ground in team fights, but as the saying goes, only your friends and enemies truly know you. The same principle applies here because strong positioning and precise control are still essential. Players should choose the build according to team composition and the flow of the match, adjusting their approach as conditions change.
